                       Setting up Dialup Connection in Windows 98, 98SE and ME

      1.  For Windows ME click Start, go to Settings, then 
            Dialup Networking and refer to step 1 and 
          follow steps 1 through 6.


     For Windows 98 and 98SE:

      
1.
Double click My Computer 
       2.
Double click Dialup Networking 
       3.
Double click
Make New Connection

       4.
Next your Make New Connection box will appear
           prompting you to type what you want to name your
           connection (can be the name of your ISP or anything
           you desire). Click next.

                  

      5.
Next you will be asked to enter your area code (area code
          is not needed unless you are dialing long distance) along with 
          phone number that your ISP provides for you to dial into.
          Click next.

                  
    
6.  Click finish and you have completed setting up your dialup 
          connection. Now lets configure it for faster connecting.

     7.  Right click your new connection and select properties.

                    
    
8. Now the properties box of your new connection appears
         and at the top you will select the Server Types tab. Uncheck 
         the Log On To Network and the only protocol at the 
         bottom that should be checked is TCP/IP. Your properties
         box should now look like this. Click ok.

                  
     
9. Congratulations your done!! When you double click your
          connection you will be prompt to enter your user name
          and password that your ISP has supplied for you.
