Setting up Dialup Connection in Windows XP

     1. Click Start, Control Panel then Network Connections.

Now your Network Connections box will appear and in
upper left hand corner you will see
Create a New Connection.

    2.
Now your New Connection Wizard box will appear
        click next.

    3. Now it will prompt you to pick your Network Connection Type.

for a simple dial up connection we will choose the first option
        to the Internet. Click next.

4.
Now it will ask you whether or not you may want to use a
disc or choose from a list of internet providers or to set a
connection up manually. You will want to click
       Set Up My Connection Manually
and click next.

    5.
Now it will ask you how you would like to connect to
the internet depending on whether you have broadband

connection or dialup. Since we are setting up a dialup
connection we will choose the first option.
Connect
        using a dial-up modem.

    6.
Now it will ask you what you would like to name your
connection. Depending on the name of you ISP that is
what will type in the box.

    7.
Next you will be asked to enter your area code (area code
is not needed unless you are dialing long distance) along with
phone number that your ISP provides for you to dial into.
         Click next.

8.
Now you will be prompt to enter your Username and Password

that has been supplied to you by your ISP. Type the information
in and be and leave all the other options checked at the bottom
       and click finish.
